Health Coaches for Hypertension Control Program

Join us for this 8-week program that has been proven to help improve the health of individuals diagnosed with high blood pressure, and receive a free home blood pressure monitor and hypertension cookbook.

Class intended for: individuals who want to control their high blood pressure; no provider referral necessary.

Join us for this 7-week, evidence-based program to help nicotine users quit for good. Using proven programming that combines the use of medication and behavioral counseling, we will support you on your journey to becoming nicotine-free. 

Class intended for: individuals who smoke or use tobacco and want to quit; provider referral encouraged, but not necessary.

Prepared Parenting Program Series

Pregnancy and parenting journeys are different for everyone. St. Peter’s offers a variety of classes to help you feel prepared no matter where you are in your journey. Prepared Parenting classes include Childbirth Education, Breastfeeding Basics, Postpartum Recovery, Child Car Seat Safety and Infant CPR.

This exercise class meets once a week and helps you reduce your pain and stiffness, maintain or improve mobility and improve muscle strength and functional ability.

Stepping On (Fall Prevention)

Join us for a 7-week program proven to reduce falls by incorporating strategies and changes to keep you independent and active. 

Class intended for: individuals who are 60 years of age or older, individuals who have fallen in the past year or who are fearful of falling and live at home or in an independent space. No provider referral is necessary.

Inch by Inch: A lifestyle program 

Join us for this year-long program that helps reduce the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease through the management of weight, nutrition, and physical activity, as well as sleep and stress.  Participants work with a lifestyle coach for a total of 24 classes over a one-year period. Provider referral is encouraged but not required. 

Class intended for: individuals with a BMI over 25 that have one of the following:

  • prediabetes
  • high blood pressure
  • high blood lipids
  • are currently on medication for any of the above issues

Taking Care of You: A Parental Support Program

This parental support program offers resources and professionals for parents, guardians and families experiencing a variety of stressors including mental health or substance use challenges during pregnancy and through the first year of your child’s life. The team includes specially trained registered nurse (RN) care managers, behavioral health professionals and social workers who partner with your medical provider and connect you to community resources so you are surrounded with support.

Class intended for: parents or guardians of children; no referral necessary.

Diabetes Education Classes

Classes for clients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes are being offered periodically throughout the year. Certified diabetes care and education specialists and registered dietitians/nutritionists provide knowledge and skills necessary to effectively self-manage and maintain optimum health with this condition. Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Classes

The Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online courses are taught in a blended learning format. Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by our American Heart Association Training Center instructor. Students who successfully complete an online course and skills session will receive a Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Course Completion card, valid for two years.

Class intended for: anyone who wants to be prepared to act in an emergency.
