This September, organizations and people from across our community are coming together to host free activities, training opportunities and more to support people affected by suicide and raise awareness. Monday, September 21: STAR-T Secondary Trauma Resiliency Skills Training

The training integrates trauma theory, attachment theory, neurobiology, and embodiment work as it applies to the secondary trauma we are exposed to through work in traumatic work environments. Andrew creates safety in any experiential process and encourages participants to track the impact of these training strategies on their whole system.

Tuesday, September 22: Mental Health Mini-Webinar for Caregivers

Join St. Peter's clinical psychologist Dr. Kaile Ross and Cooney Rehabilitation Director Amy Lende for a mini webinar to learn about tools to support caregiver and senior mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thursday, September 24: Mental Health Mini-Webinar for Parents of School-aged Children

Join clinical psychologist Dr. Kaile Ross and East Valley Middle School Counselor Kevin VanNice for a mini webinar focused on how parents can help their school-aged children with stress and anxiety revolving around back to school and COVID-19.

Friday, September 25: Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Training

QPR is a simple educational program for suicide prevention that teaches community members how to recognize a mental health emergency and how to get a person at risk the help he or she needs. It is also an action plan that can result in saved lives.
