Community Education
St. Peter’s Hospital Clinical Nutrition
Registered Dietitians at St. Peter's Hospital provide individual inpatient and outpatient counseling for a variety of nutrition needs and conditions:
Nutritionists work with children, families, teens, adults, and seniors to help improve their nutrition status.
Diabetes Education
St. Peter’s Diabetes Self Management Education services to those individuals diagnosed with Type 1, Type 2 or Gestational Diabetes. A Registered Nurse Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitians provide people who have diabetes with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively self manage this condition and maintain optimum health with diabetes.
The following areas are covered:
St. Peter’s diabetes patient education program has been awarded recognition by the American Diabetes Association in accordance with the national standards for Diabetes Patient Education Programs.

Your Menu
As a patient at St Peters Hospital you are able to order room service from the Continental Cuisine menu that was specially planned with your physician ordered diet restrictions in mind. You will be able to choose what food you want when you are ready to eat. Your guests may purchase a room service meal for $7.00 in advance of the meal service in the coffee shop. Ask your nutrition service representative about your choices as well as your guests choices.

Breakfast from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Lunch from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Dinner from 4:00 PM until 6:45 PM
The Continental Cafe and Coffee Shop is open to serve visitors and guests from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:30 am to 5:00pm on weekends and holidays. There are complimentary coffee and hot tea stations throughout the hospital. Vending machines, offering a variety of snacks and beverages, are located in Emergency Department, adjacent to the Coffee Shop and in the Family Kitchens on the 2nd and 3rd floor.
